1-(4-tert-butylphenyl)4-(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)carbonylthiosemicarbazide (OBS) and was synthesized by reaction of 4-tert-Butylbenzoic hydrazide with 4-(trifluoromethyl)phenylisothiocyanate. The influence many metal cations on the spectroscopic properties compound investigated in dmso-water (1:1) means emission spectrometry.The a series ions including Cu2+,Co2+ , Al3+,Cr3+,Fe3+, Pb2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Zn2+,Ag+ Ba2+ Mo3+, Se,Ca2+,Sn4+,Sb3+,Na+, K+,Li+,Sc3+, Sr2+, As3+, Be2+ Mg2+on ligand compounds were selectively complexed Fe3+among ions. complex stoichiometry stability constant determined fluorimetric measurements. having thiosemicarbazide showed sensitivity for Fe3+ ion linear range between 0.5 5.5 mg/L. new method applied determination iron sandy-soil reference material. A modified Standard addition used to remove matrix effect.Detection quantification limits 0.07 0.214 mg/L, respectively.The simple cost-effective can be soil samples.
